Overview

Uttarakhand in 6 days

Uttarakhand is called Devbhumi, the land of the gods, and the north of the state is genuinely Himalayan. This itinerary stays in the accessible foothills: the lake district around Nainital, the ridge at Mussoorie, and the Ganga where it leaves the mountains at Rishikesh and Haridwar.

It suits families and first-time visitors. Short driving days, one clear focus per stop, and the Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri as the closing evening.

Trip highlights

  • Boating on Naini Lake and the Snow View ropeway
  • Mussoorie's Camel's Back Road and Kempty Falls
  • The Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula bridges at Rishikesh
  • Ganga aarti at Triveni Ghat and Har Ki Pauri
  • Optional white-water rafting on the Ganga
  • An optional Jim Corbett safari extension
