Overview

Andaman Islands in 6 days

The Andamans sit closer to Myanmar than to mainland India, and it shows. The water is a clean Andaman Sea blue, the reefs start a few metres from shore, and the pace drops the moment you get off the ferry at Havelock.

This itinerary keeps the ferry hops sensible: two nights at Havelock for Radhanagar and Elephant Beach, a night on Neil for the natural bridge and Bharatpur reef, and Port Blair at either end for the Cellular Jail and the light-and-sound show.

Trip highlights

  • Radhanagar Beach, regularly ranked among Asia's best
  • Snorkelling or a glass-bottom boat over the Elephant Beach reef
  • Neil Island's natural bridge and Bharatpur reef
  • The Cellular Jail and its evening light-and-sound show
  • Ross Island's colonial ruins and North Bay
  • Optional scuba discovery dive for first-timers
