Overview

Dubai in 5 days

Dubai is a four-hour flight from most of India and it is engineered for visitors. The headline is the skyline: the Burj Khalifa, the Marina, the Palm and the Frame. But the older city across the creek in Deira and Bur Dubai is the more interesting half, and it costs almost nothing to see.

Four nights covers the towers, a desert safari with a barbecue dinner, a day at Atlantis or the Miracle Garden, and an abra crossing to the gold and spice souks. Abu Dhabi and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque are an easy day trip on top.

Trip highlights

  • The Burj Khalifa At The Top observation deck
  • A red-dune desert safari with barbecue dinner and belly dancing
  • The Dubai Fountain and Dubai Mall
  • The Palm Jumeirah monorail and Atlantis
  • An abra across the creek to the gold and spice souks
  • Optional Abu Dhabi day with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

June to August regularly exceeds 45C and outdoor sightseeing becomes unpleasant. November to March is the season. Ramadan dates shift each year and change how restaurants operate, which we brief you on.

Dune bashing is bumpy and not advised during pregnancy, with back or heart conditions, or for very young children. A non-bashing 'sunset desert' option with the same camp experience is available.

Yes, as a full-day trip covering the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the Louvre Abu Dhabi and Ferrari World, or as a separate overnight.
